Mackinac Bridge | Mackinac Island, Michigan
Oh, the Mighty Mack, what a great bridge this is, and thank god that it exists since I live in the UP! Mackinac Island is just a stones throw from the bridge and you can get to it via ferry from St. Ignace, where I leave from, or Mackinaw City. You will find Mackinac spelled like Mackinaw too. This image was captured from Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry on their Saturday 10am cruise under the bridge.

SharkbytesI love that bridge! You picture makes it look like it goes on forever!
Paul RetherfordThanks, it kind of does, 5-miles at least. If you haven’t checked it out, go sometime and visit Mackinac Island too!
Peace!
Paul:-)
SharkbytesOh, I have… I’ve ridden a bike across it (yes… this was allowed for a few short years under special circumstances), walked it twice, and driven it lots of times. It’s part of the North Country Trail, you know!
Paul RetherfordYou can only walk that portion of the trail one day a year.:-)
