This wonderful couple is a past Wedding Client of mine.  They are visiting the Petoskey, Michigan area for a weekend trip with their lovely children.  Petoskey Michigan Bayfront Park family photography photographer Paul Retherford.

Sometimes family sessions just don’t work out like planned.

This would be a great example.

You just never know the mood of the little children and how they are going to react to the camera and the new person, me. 🙂  Sometimes they just have ideas in their mind.  Whatever the case, I just roll with it.

This is more the norm with family photography.

Sometimes the kids just need a nice playground to distract their attention.  Other times it is the lake and water making for the wonderful images.  It is my job to make the smiles happen and capture these moments in time.

The interactions between these two beautiful girls is amazing.  They do their own thing but constantly check on each other.

The images show the love and joy they have when mom and dad aren’t holding them.  🙂

They just want to be free and watched by the parents.
