Children at Wedding | to invite kids or not

Are you going to allow children at your Wedding?

should I allow children at my wedding photo

This is one burning question for all brides and grooms, do you allow children at your Wedding?  This sometimes goes beyond yes or no because this has been known to break up families and cause friendships to fade.  You have to weigh both sides of the equation before deciding on your decision whether to allow children or not at your Wedding.

We all know that it is your Wedding, and that it is all about the bride and groom, BUT your family and friends are with you forever and your Wedding is one day; Period.

What are some reasons to allow children at your Wedding?

– The cuteness factor is always present
– Kids just do the funniest things
– Flower girl and Ringbearers
– Junior bridesmaid
– Family is family no matter how old they are
– Some families never leave their kids and they would not come
– Children love to dance, typically
– Great conversation piece
– Can incorporate them in activities and events during the day
– Sometimes people will bring them even if they are not invited
– Someone to blame when something goes wrong;-)

What are some reasons to not allow children at your Wedding?

– The extra expense
– Kids can misbehave, so can adults:-)
– Extra drama
– Stress
– If you invite one you have to invite them all
– They can take the attention away from you
– Sometimes they are a liability

These are just a few reasons why or why not to allow children/kids at your Wedding ceremony and reception.  I have had couples specify that children are allowed at only the reception too.  Most of the time I hear brides talk under their breath that so and so brought children and they were not invited.  So think about all of the options when making your decision on whether to have children at your Wedding or not.
