Snow Fall Winter Engagement

Light snow is falling, it is thirty-two degrees, and no wind. This is a picture perfect late fall day in Northern Michigan. Kaitlynn and Jake are Engaged and excited for an outdoor snow/winter wonderland session. Fall snow Engagement Nubs Nob Petoskey area Photography Kaitlynn Jake photography Paul Retherford.

The snow Engagement session begins at a condo in Hamlet Village at Nub’s Nob ski area in Harbor Springs, Michigan. There are a couple ski lifts right out the back door of the condo.

Snow is lying on the trees and making it appear as if this is a big fairy tale.

Love days in Northern Michigan when the winds are calm and the temperature is mild.

From Nub’s Nob we headed to Bayfront Park in Petoskey, Michigan.

Slow, white crested waves roll on the shoreline.

We set up near the Petoskey waterfall. Bayfront park is empty.

In addition, the waterfall is frozen making for interesting textures.

Bear River Recreation Area is the next location. I love the bridges and overhangs above the Bear River.

Katie from Petoskey Cheese is kind enough to allow Kaitlynn and Jake to capture a few photographs in her shop. Kaitlynn loves the decor and feel of the Petoskey Cheese location. She is a big fan of the offerings too.

This wraps up the winterish Engagement session. How lucky are we to have this wonderful layer of snow so early in the season.
