Camp Daggett & Perry Hotel Wedding Photography

Northern Michigan has a new wedding ceremony location for late summer, fall, and spring weddings. This location is Camp Daggett Wedding venue. Get married on the beautiful shores of the crystal clear water of Walloon Lake near Bay Harbor, Petoskey, and Charlevoix, Michigan.

Camp Daggett is a rustic wedding location that has rooms to get prepared and a large area for a wedding reception with partial beach and sand and partial raised wood seating with no sand. It is the perfect combination for wedding family and friends of all ages.

Camp Daggett is located on the west shoreline of Walloon Lake and is easily accessed via both paved and dirt roads and drives. You can arrive and/or leave from Camp Daggett via their two beautiful docks too! Use the water to create a unique detail to your wedding day.

Michelle and Ryan are the first couple to get married at Camp Daggett to my knowledge. I was told they just started to allow weddings this year at Camp Daggett. Michelle’s parents have a cabin on Walloon Lake and they used a pontoon to transport the wedding party back to the cabin after the wedding ceremony.

Michelle did a wonderful job in planning her wedding day at Camp Daggett. Her father build a custom wedding trellis with birch wood and flowers from Monarch floral and design in Petoskey, Michigan. There was a lady playing bells at the wedding ceremony, very beautiful. The unity ceremony was a unity sand ceremony with combining colored sands to signify the unification of families. Harborview Entertainment had their speakers and mics to amplify the voices and play a bit of music before, during, and after the wedding ceremony. Ryan was in his Navy uniform and had two friends who helped escort people to and from the wedding ceremony that were also in their Navy uniforms. After the wedding ceremony at Camp Daggett the two gentlemen had their swords and helped form a send off line for the bride and groom on Walloon Lake in the pontoon boat.

We traveled around the Walloon Lake, Bay Harbor, and Petoskey area capturing wedding photography on our way to the Wedding reception at the Perry Hotel in Petoskey, Northern Michigan.

The Wedding reception was in the Perry Hotel Rose Garden. This is an outdoor partially covered location that is perfect because you have views of the sunset over Lake Michigan and see Little Traverse Bay and lots of flowers. If it happens to rain, all of the tables and guests are covered. The dancing is under a covered location as well. If it happens to be hot they have fans, and if it is cold they have gas heaters in the ceiling with drop down curtains.

The Wedding location is just steps from all of the beautiful guest rooms. A good portion of guest rooms have an unobstructed view of Little Traverse Bay in Lake Michigan. The sunset is breathtaking!

Petoskey has a fabulous downtown. Whatever you like, Petoskey has it to offer to you. Petoskey now has two craft brewing companies in which you can have custom brews for your wedding crafted for you! There is a little bit for everyone so stay at the Perry Hotel and enjoy the beautiful downtown in Petoskey, Michigan!
