Charlevoix Northern Michigan Wedding Venue

Northern Michigan has a Wedding venue jewel in Castle Farms. Castle Farms is a restored castle in Charlevoix, Michigan which hosts hundreds of Events every year. Castle Farms Queen’s Courtyard West Garden Room Wedding Photography Sarah + Jay by Paul Retherford Photography.

What a day for Sarah and Jay! Everything turns out to be just perfect.

Sarah is stunning, Jay is a stud, and the guests are all a hoot.

We have a combination of Canadian guests and American guests. It was a party on the border, or at least close to the border.

The gorgeous florals are designed by Thyme Hill Designs. This peony Wedding bouquet is amazing. Love the white, the smell, the texture, and the feel of the whole thing.

Sarah is wearing a jaw-dropping pair of Christian Louboutin high-heel Wedding shoes with that amazing dress.

Hair and makeup is the work of Talulu Beauty Salon.

I always love Glad Remaly’s ceremony and personality at my Weddings. She is present again and smiling just as broad as ever.

It is just Sarah and Jay. No bridesmaids or groomsmen. The family is involved in the bridal and groom suites but that is all.

Simple and fun.

Castle Farms Wedding Reception

DJ’s North spins the music for the evening. I enjoy Shawn and talking with him about his interesting hobbies and travels. He is also a great DJ who happens to DJ at the casino, among other locations too.

Grey Gables prepares dinner. Their plated dinner is yummy! Never a bite left on my plate. 🙂

Then the dessert… Simply Sweet by Jessica naked cake. Oh my! If I was 20 again and could eat all the sugar in the World I would just sit around and eat this cake. It is goooooooood.

Of course the photography is by Paul Retherford Photography. In addition, Paul Retherford Photography Photo Booth made a strong showing and is utilized all evening long.

FYI… All of my future brides at Castle Farms please rent the golf cart for your evening. It is SOOOOO worth it and we get to do SO many more images, locations, and you don’t have to tramp through wet grass in your heels and dress! As Nike would say, “Just Do It.”

Everything was awesome except me flying my drone into the fountain, but that is another story. I am not upset, and in the end, the drone lived! I got wet and looked like a crazy man jumping in the fountain but, hey, you have to watch out for those east winds when flying by the fountain. 🙂

Sarah and Jay, I thoroughly enjoyed my time getting to know you two. You are a wonderful couple and I wish you only the best in life. I hope that we cross paths soon and that maybe someday I will be photographing your kids Wedding. :o)
