Wedding Camp Petosega

Sometimes it rains on outdoor Weddings in Northern Michigan.  It happens.  Fortunately, my Bride and Groom prepared for inclement weather with a large tent rented from Taylor Rental of Petoskey.  Camp Petosega is gorgeous even during rainy days.  Camp Petosega Wedding Photography Pickerel Lake outdoor Northern Michigan photographer Paul Retherford.

When it does rain it is typically only short periods and not all day.  This is the case on the Camp Petosega Wedding Photography Pickerel Lake outdoor Northern Michigan.  The rain held off all the way until past the ceremony time.

The ceremony is held just outside of the tent.  Dale DuVerney is the officiant.  We watch the storms roll over Crooked Lake and Pickerel Lake.

Plans change a bit throughout the day due to the incoming rain.  No boat entrance with the Wedding party, no Wedding on the beach, and no cocktail hour outdoors.

We did manage to have the Wedding party standing outside of the tent, cocktails just under the tent, and images on the boat prior to the Wedding.

It is amazing to have your family and guests staying right on location in the cabins and campground and able to walk to the Wedding.

Mark’s Pig Roast did an amazing job with the catering.  Pluister Entertainment keeps the dance floor moving.  Paul Retherford Photography captures the memories from the entire day.
