Two Wedding days One Celebration

So honored to be part of this two-day Pure Michigan Wedding celebration on Mackinac Island and Petoskey, Michigan! Morgan and Ryan plan a whirlwind Wedding ceremony on Mackinac Island with a little taste of everything. Arriving Mackinac Island aboard Sheplers Mackinac Island Ferry I find the ladies preparing at Hotel Iroquois on Lake Huron. They are in the middle of makeup and hair in a few rooms. As always, a bit of chaos prior to the Wedding ceremony. 🙂

Singing “Going to the Chapel” the ladies arrive in style to Ste Anne’s Church on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Ste Anne’s Catholic Church on Mackinac Island is a large, beautiful church with cathedral ceilings and lots of murals and artwork. Ste Anne’s Church host lots of Weddings every year.

Following the Wedding ceremony, all of the guests ride horse carriages to the Grand Hotel front porch for a cocktail hour. It is a perfect day on Mackinac Island with lots of sun. What you would imagine the island to be like all the time.

After the hour of cocktails, the entire group headed to The Woods restaurant by horse carriage for dinner. This was the end of my time for the day.

Petoskey Rustic Barn Wedding Reception

Two days later, the Wedding reception is held on the family farm of the Bride in Petoskey, Michigan.

A lot of thought was put into the details for the reception.

The coolest detail was the volkswagen beetle “bug” acting at the gift car table. The are fun images below.

Other details include the wagon table, signs, the row of sunflowers, the copper topped bar, sweetheart table, just to name a few.
