Somewhere in Time on Mackinac Island is a big deal! The original movie was filmed on the island and there are locations and parts of the movie which still exist on the island. Dressing in period clothing is a normal occasion for the Somewhere in Time weekend. You will see people, mostly at The Grand Hotel, but also around the town, in period clothing. It is really a treat to see!

This couple comes from out of state to get married during the Somewhere in Time weekend. They are fans of the original movie and liked the whole Mackinac Island destination wedding theme for their location.

After a short wedding ceremony at the fountain at the Grand Hotel, the couple loads up on a Wedding Carriage by Gough Carriages to head to the Somewhere in Time Gazebo on the State Park property.

I ride my bike along with them and capture images throughout the entire trip to the Gazebo, downtown, by the water, and back to the Grand Hotel.
