Northern Michigan Mackinac Island wedding photography

Destination weddings in Northern Michigan on Mackinac Island are no less than magical. Everyone is in a wonderful mood, the weather is perfect with a nice breeze, and the bride and groom look gorgeous.

This is how the wedding of Krista and Jon went at Ste. Anne’s Church and Mission Point Resort summit ballroom on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

They had family and close friends join them on their destination wedding up north. They are from the Detroit area and decided that having a fun celebration on Mackinac Island would suit them perfectly.

Krista and Jon are simple people and they wanted their wedding to be the same way. They both admitted that they hated images but I made them feel at home almost instantly. In fact, I made a model out of Krista!

They had wedding colors of blue and cream, and island themed wedding, and a very simple reception in the summit room at Mission Point Resort overlooking the beautiful grounds and lake. The reception was a dinner for all and light dessert provided by Mission Point Resort. They had light music playing on an ipod.

It was beautiful, simple, and totally them!
