Castle Farms Nautical theme Wedding in the Spring
Spring is off to a late start here in Northern Michigan. It didn’t stop Mother Nature from giving us a near perfect day for a Spring Wedding at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, Michigan. The temperature peaked at around 60 degrees but the beautiful blue skies and castle environment kept everyone smiling throughout the day.
The Wedding Ceremony for Amber and Joe was in the Queen’s Courtyard at Castle Farms with the Wedding Reception located in the East Garden Room. This is such a perfect Wedding venue with all the natural light and ample room for your guests. It makes for a beautiful experience for everyone.
The nautical theme of the Wedding ties to both of their loves for water, paddle boarding, swimming, boating, and more. They took on the task of finding and making almost all of their decorations too! They even hand made their cake topper with clay!
A few things that I loved were the incorporation of Niko their dog in th ewedding ceremony, the yard games at the reception, and the trivia game at the reception to decide which tables eat first.
There were very few Professional vendors at this Wedding which made my presence there a huge honor. The vendors included:
Wedding Venue Castle Farms Wedding Cake by Bella e Dolce Wedding DJ Pluister Entertainment Wedding catering by Grey Gables Wedding dress from David’s Bridal Wedding hair by No Tangles Wedding Photographer Paul Retherford Wedding Photography Wedding Coordinator Johanna of Castle FarmsWedding flowers were designed by a family friend. Family and friends captured Wedding video using a variety of cameras, including, 8mm cameras and GoPro cameras.
Everything was well coordinated with navy blues and whites. The guys wore deck shoes. Amber’s uncle painted a portrait of her in her Wedding dress in front of the Mackinac Bridge and unveiled it at the reception.
The Wedding guests and friends danced the night away. The dance floor was full until I left around 10:30 in the evening.
We made good use of the Castle Farms grounds and we also checked out the Charlevoix city beach for some additional images with the Charlevoix lighthouse. The best man was renting a mushroom house in Charlevoix and we stopped on our way back from the beach for some images at these cool little shelters.
