Mackinac Island Photography in Michigan

My wife and I spent the day strolling around Mackinac Island.  I was off for my first weekend this summer and we made a great day of it.  It was absolutely beautiful on the island and there were really not that many people.  Both ferry rides were nearly empty and the streets downtown were not packed, very nice!

Some ferry riding images, I chose to ride Sheplers which is great…

We watched the Espona and Barkus dog parade down the boardwalk and to the park.  It is part of the Mackinac Island Lilac Festival and put on by the Mackinac Island Dog and Pony Club.  I took as many images of the parading dogs as I could and here they are…

The parade went quick so I had to shoot fast.  I got a nice representation of the dogs and horse that were in the parade.

Megan, my wife, and I headed on a trek around the center of the island.  We put about 7 miles on while we were there.  I took a few images along the way and here are some of them…

It was a good day for us and a lot of other people too.  Here are some images from a bachelor party on the island.  The whole group had Game Over shirts on in blue and the groom had a white Game Over shirt.

And to top the evening off we spent dinner at the Pink Pony Bar and Grill on Mackinac Island, Michigan
We enjoyed a great meal, the whitefish dip was awesome!  And a couple of cold Bell’s Oberon were in line on this magnificent days

If you have never tried Bells Oberon, and you like beer, you a missing out.

A perfect day on a perfect island.
