Spending night in Petoskey hospital for good reasons
This Super moon might have something to do with birth.
Megan’s parents came over Thursday to help out after a bunch of close contractions. Nothing seemed to progress so they decided they would head home Saturday late morning.
My mother called and said that she was going to come over to watch Julia for us.
Just after a spicy dinner Megan started having more regular contractions. She was using a handy app on her phone to calculate the time, duration, and frequency of the contractions.
Around 10pm I was beat and heading to bed. Megan and mom were up and hanging out in the living room. Megan said she wanted to stay up a bit longer to watch the contractions.
Around midnight Megan woke me up and said that we should head to the hospital. There were a lot of cars on the road.
We arrived to the hospital in 20 minutes from Alanson, and they had her hooked up shortly thereafter.
Contractions were regular but the babies heart beat was on the low end of the spectrum. After being monitored for over an hour, the doctor came in to break the water. They wanted to make sure the water was clear, which it was.
The next couple/few hours we spent walking the halls, bouncing on the medicine peanut ball, and soaking in the tub.
Megan’s parents came back to the hospital at around 4:30 am and hung out in the waiting room.
