Canada Vacation 2007
This past week my wife, two dogs, and I were up in Canada visiting the inlaws. They have a beautiful place on Lake Superior that we visit once or twice a year. The weather was beautiful and the good times rolled.
I was face to face with a black bear at one point. The dogs were barking like crazy and Megan and me took the dogs to see that there was nothing wrong. Well, we were wrong, there was a young black bear about 150 pounds and I got like 10 yards from it without knowing. The bear was not really afraid which was the scary part. It did climb a tree and we got some photos of it before leaving it be.
The dogs are in heaven up there. They run and play like little kids. There are a bunch of red squirrels which they love to chase and hunt. Asta is such a swimmer and she loves the water while Sampson is more of a land dog and he will cope with the water but does not love it.
