Lake Michigan waterfront family photography

In a pandemic, people don’t always think about capturing memories. This family has been literally isolated in Michigan and Colorado for months. The one family from Colorado pulled their travel trailer north so that they could keep their distance from anyone. I am quite literally their first human encounter in some time. In compliance with all of the rules and making sure that I am sensitive to every family’s situation and safety, I wear a mask.

This photography session was over in less than 1/2 hour. The kids did great for a short time. I learn to role with the children in my photography sessions. Sometimes the kids want to be the star and other times they just want to play alone. Whatever the case, I have never been totally disappointed. Most families are shocked by the results when they thought the session was a lost cause.

The majority of my photography sessions are located right at the client’s vacation homes. This makes it easy for quick shooting, grabbing and props, touching up, and much more. Simplicity is the answer when it comes to family photos.
