Titanic theme dinner Perry Hotel Photography
The Stafford’s Perry Hotel offered their Annual Titanic Dinner last evening. The dinner included a five course gourmet meal, butlered Hors d’ Oeuvres, complimentary champagne, and after dinner coffee and drinks.
The evening began with complimentary champagne, complimentary photography and print from Paul Retherford Photography, LLC and all sorts of Titanic memorabilia present for everyone to enjoy.
The 95 guests were invited to find their seating cards and their seats in the H.O. Rose dining room. At their seats there was a card that described a person on the ship and what class seating their were in.
The dinner began with a welcome address by the captain who was all dressed up in his captain’s clothing.
A three piece string band was playing music from the Titanic era as the meals were offered by the excellent staff.
I do have to say that Stafford’s Perry Hotel did not sacrifice service in this event. They, in my mind, overbooked staff for the event. The service was as it would have been on the Titanic, in first class. I even spent a little time in the kitchen and they had an overabundance of help there too.
While the courses were being serviced, the captain would stand up and give updates on the status of the ship and any news. He would walk around and talk to people at the tables and ask them about their names, from the description on the cards, where they were heading and what class.
After the final course was served, the guests were invited out to the lobby for some coffee and after dinner drinks. The evening would end after an educational talk about the Titanic with many pieces of memorabilia.
Many of the guests came dressed in era clothing but not all. If you are interested in attending next years Stafford’s Perry Hotel Titanic Dinner then you might want to keep an eye out for some fun clothing for the evening.
I guarantee that you will leave with a smile on your face, a full tummy, and some extra knowledge about the Titanic.
