How I LOVE Fall in Northern Michigan!  Pure Michigan at its finest.  I have always been a color guy.  Colors to me are the spice of life.  Without color you miss half of life.  Glen Lake Glen Arbor family photography vrbo rental house session with Paul Retherford Photography.

The Leelanau Peninsula area in Northern Michigan is the summertime paradise to thousands of vacations from all over the World.

People are drawn to this area for many reasons.  The first is that the Sleeping Bear Dunes are located there.  In addition, the beaches are mostly soft and sandy from the dunes.  Lastly, Traverse City is a hopping place in the Summer.

This family wanted fall color for their Christmas cards.

They invited me out to their VRBO rental house on Glen Lake to make some beautiful images.

It is a windy day and the rains are coming.

We start indoors with a few but quickly moved to the outdoor locations to capture the fall colors as they wished.

The wind off of the lake was pushing 30 knots.

Luckily, the trees cut the winds for us.

We take a small walk around the neighborhood and get color, reflections, cool textures, waterfront, and more.

What a wonderful family session just prior to them departing back to the real World.
