Queen’s Courtyard East Garden Room Wedding
A November Wedding in the outdoors in Northern Michigan. That statement might seem crazy to those of you who have experienced Northern Michigan in November.
At this time last year we had two feet of snow on the ground.
Jordyn and Matt had a plan, and El Nino helped them execute their dream Wedding.
The week of November 7th the temperatures were getting into the 60s in Northern Michigan. It was unheard of to have such mild temperatures. Everyone up here was loving it.
Then comes the Wedding day. Forties and hail in the morning.
Everyone was inside and getting ready for the big day at Castle Farms. The guys were warming up with beers and scotch. The woman chose mimosas.
The guys were at a nice rental house in Charlevoix and the woman prepared in a condo at the Edgewater Inn on the water in Charlevoix.
The weather moved through and when the ceremony arrived it was forty-five and breezy.
All the guests knew that it was an outdoor event and that they should dress warm for Northern Michigan weather. In addition, Jordyn and Matt had blankets, hand warmers, and hot chocolate available for all of the guests on arrival to the Queen’s Courtyard.
The Queen’s Courtyard at Castle Farms is surrounded on all sides by walls. The walls helped block the winds too.
Jordyn and Matt had their day and they both looked stunning. It was exactly as they had planned and everyone came together to make it perfect!
The other Weddings that I knew that were happening were all indoors. Kudos to my tough Bride and Groom!
Some of the details for the day included hand picked gifts for both the Bride and Groom from each other and parents too. A cigar table at the reception put together by the father of the Bride. Fun signs throughout the day put together by the Bride. A cute flower girl in her princess dress. Fudge treats for everyone!
The light was incredible. The overcast skies acted as a huge diffuser and created milky white light.
All of the vendors came together and offered a wonderful service to Jordyn and Matt.
