Wedding Photography Castle Farms Northern Michigan

Weddings at Castle Farms in Northern Michigan come in all shapes and sizes. One thing that is common to many of the Weddings is that people come from long distances to celebrate a destination Wedding in a real castle in Northern Michigan.

This was the case with Leigh and Mike who traveled from Midland for their Northern Michigan Wedding at Castle Farms. Their family and friend came from Southern Michigan and Wisconsin, for the most part.

With only about 50 guests, the Wedding was intimate and family based. Since most of the people don’t drink, they elected to have no alcohol at their Wedding too.

Their Wedding details were very simple. Leigh did DIY invitations and Wedding papery. She elected for simple bouquets and table arrangements with tulips and irises. They had one awesome arrangement with flowing orchids on the seating card table.

Leigh wore a beautiful Mori Lee Wedding dress that had these cool flower blossoms on it. She wrapped her purple iris flower bouquet with a necklace from Great Grandma, a piece of her Mom’s Wedding dress, and a family pin.

The Wedding colors were cornflower and Sapphire Blues. The first dance song was Come Away with Me by Norah Jones. The chicken dance was on the agenda for 8pm and their 92 year old Grandmother danced, a family tradition.

The dinner was plated salads, buffet, and then a late night smores bar by BJ’s Catering.
