Fun Winter Bay Harbor Michigan Festival
The 2013 Ice and Spice festival at Bay Harbor included ice carving/sculpting, chili cook off, beverage tent, fire dancers, kids activities, fireworks, and lots more. The events took place right in the village of Bay Harbor and the main location was right next to Knot just a bar. I stopped by around 1pm on Sunday to see the carvings and enjoy the soft snow that was falling from the sky with the ambiance of Bay Harbor.
There were Professional ice carvers from all over the place. Their assortment of tools for the carvings was interesting. I am guessing there is a ice carving circuit that led them through Bay Harbor.
The Horse Carriage rides ran from noon to 2pm on Sunday and were greeted with fluffy snowflakes in the village of bay harbor. It was beautiful!
At around 5pm we came back to Bay Harbor with the kids and family to watch the fire dancers and fireworks. The rain had started to fall, and it got progressively worse. The fire dancers were sweet but the driving rain and wind were not.
Here are some images from the entire day at the Bay Harbor Ice and Spice festival in Northern Michigan near Petoskey, Michigan. Come on up in 2014 for a wonderful weekend of events and skiing/snowmobiling in the area!
