North Country Trail Activities

The last couple of days I have explored a couple new treks of trail on both snowshoes and skis with my dogs on the North Country Trail.  This was the first time ever that I saw another human on the trails.  He was snowshoeing too.  The temperature was fantastic the last couple of days.  I would have to say that 35 degrees with light winter clothes is perfect for outdoor sports.  The dogs had a fantastic time because animals were on the move so there was a lot of scent too.  On the way to the trail we drove right up to a ruffed grouse and my dogs went crazy.  My two pointers didn’t do much pointing, more whining and barking.:-)

I couldn’t have asked for two more perfect days in the UP to explore the North Country Trail.
