Boat Family Photography Mackinac Island
Summers in Northern Michigan bring images of water, sun, and good times.
This is exactly what Michele and Steve’s family were having on Mackinac Island.
They trailered their boat up from the Lansing, Michigan area and launched it in the city marina at Mackinaw City. They drove their Baja powerboat across the Straits of Mackinac to the Mackinac Island State Harbor.
They met up with a bunch of their friends and got dockage right at the base of the harbor next to main street. This allowed them easy access to downtown Mackinac Island.
Michele contacted me about getting family photography captured while they were vacationing on Mackinac Island. She wanted some images on the boat and also on the beach.
We photographed the family on the bow of the Baja powerboat and then we walked down to Windermere Point where we captured the lighthouses, bridge, city of Mackinac Island, beach, kites, and more.
Following the photography session, Steve asked if I would like a ride back to Mackinaw City. I happily accepted and we loaded the bike into the boat and headed to the mainland.
Here are a small selection of Michele and Steve’s beautiful family photography.
