Wizard of Oz themed Grand Hotel Wedding

Have you ever loved a movie SO much that you wanted to celebrate it? Have you considered making that movie a theme of your Wedding?

Well, that is exactly what Amanda and Andrew did on their gorgeous Mackinac Island Wedding at the Grand Hotel West Porch and the Chippewa Hotel Patio.

The bold canary yellow and ruby red colors of the Wizard of Oz were spread throughout the Wedding day.

Some of the highlights of the day included the cool theme, the stepfather was the Wedding officiant, the long yellow aisle runner with “follow the yellow brick road,” the carriage ride and stopping at Sadie’s ice cream parlor, the gorgeous wedding cake by Bella e Dolce, sparkler send off, and the beautiful views over the Mackinac Island harbor, and, or course, Amanda was stunning.

The Bride prepared for the Wedding day in the Chippewa Hotel in her beautiful corner suite room that they had rented for a few nights. The Bride’s sister styled her hair for the Wedding day. Astor’s Salon in the Grand Hotel completed the makeup. The final touch ups were completed just prior to the Grand Hotel West Porch Wedding in the Grand Hotel bridal suite.

The Bride and Groom took a fun Wedding Carriage ride around Mackinac Island following their Wedding Ceremony on the Grand Hotel Porch and ending at the Chippewa Hotel.

I love all the color and personality in this Wedding day!
