Intimate Mackinac Island Wedding Photography
Little Stone Church on Mackinac Island is a historic church near the Grand Hotel in Northern Michigan. Mackinac Island is a no cars allowed island with transportation via bike, foot, and horse carriages.
There are a good amount of weddings every year at Little Stone Church. They donate a good portion of the money earned to a scholarship fund to a local student.
Little Stone Church has nice stained glass windows and a low light soft, home feel to it. Flash photography is not allowed during the service either. The dark wood makes it interesting to use external light too. Just keep this in mind when you consider the Little Stone Church for your wedding.
Bethanie and Steven, the bride and groom, came for a destination Northern Michigan wedding on Mackinac Island all the way from Missouri. Bethanie had been to Mackinac Island once in her life. Her mother, Barbara, was the acting planner for the short photography session.
The families stayed at the Grand Hotel for three nights while they were in Northern Michigan. Bethany got her hair and makeup completed at Astor’s Salon inside the Grand Hotel. The Wedding theme was Mackinac Island.
