Northern Michigan Wedding Petoskey

Sometimes I don’t meet a couple until their Wedding day.  It could be for a number of reasons.  This particular Wedding the Mother of the Bride planned the day and the Bride and Groom enjoyed.  Nothing wrong with that!  Intimate Stafford’s Perry Hotel Wedding Photography Petoskey Michigan by Paul Retherford.

Couples love the ease of getting married at the Stafford’s Perry Hotel.  Not only is the Stafford’s Perry Hotel close to downtown, but the views of Lake Michigan and proximity to other towns is a huge bonus too.

Furthermore, the staff at Stafford’s Perry Hotel is wonderful.

You can tell that Stafford’s takes pride in their brand and employees.

The couple decides to have a first look on the porch of the Perry Hotel in Petoskey.

The gorgeous florals from the Wedding day are provided by Flowers from Sky’s the Limit flower shop in Petoskey, Michigan.

Stafford’s Perry Hotel outdoor Rose Garden ceremony

The tea garden on the lawn of the Perry Hotel overlooks a wonderful panoramic view on Little Traverse Bay, part of Lake Michigan.

Angled rows are set up, facing Lake Michigan, so guests are looking out at the lake during the ceremony.

Arguably, one of the most beautiful venues in Northern Michigan.

The couple’s friend received his license to marry online and married them.

Following the short wedding ceremony, the entire Wedding walked across the street for a photo with Lake Michigan in the background.

The guests all make their way to the outdoor cocktail hour in the Rose Garden while we make some more images around the grounds/town.

The outdoor Rose Garden reception is set up under a tent.  The tent can hold hundreds of people if you wish.  There are a number of various styles of tents including sidewalls to protect from the weather.

Tom of Pluister Entertainment sets up in the dance floor area right next to the bar.  What I like about this venue is the fact that they do have ceiling heaters, if needed, and they are very comfortable.  I have photographed in November, outdoors, at this venue and it was comfortable.

The beautiful sweets table is by Jane’s Sweet Creations in Alanson, Michigan.

A introduction, a cake cutting,  and a champagne bottle top slice started the festivities in the Rose Garden Wedding reception.

That ends my night.  The couple did not want dancing or mingling images.
