Charlevoix, Michigan Wedding Castle Farms July 2013
How many people can say that they were married in a real castle with a dragon? Stephanie and Frank can. Your probably thinking Germany or some European country, nope, Northern Michigan in Charlevoix, Michigan. That is right, Castle Farms in Charlevoix hosts destination weddings from around the World at their large, pristine stone castle.
Stephanie and Frank came up from Southern Michigan with their friends and family for a long weekend celebration of their marriage. Once the party began it appeared that it would never end.
Castle Farms is set up for you all in one Wedding ceremony and reception location. Your guests will love that they can park and walk to both. It is one of the most convenient and easily accessible Wedding locations in Northern Michigan.
Stephanie and Frank prepared for their Wedding day at Pointes North Inn in Charlevoix. The sisters of the bride and mother of the bride completed the hair and makeup. They had a variety of rooms to suit your needs. Stephanie got ready in her and Frank’s room for the evening which included a full kitchen and a bi level room with deck overlooking the pool. Frank and the guys prepared in a bi level room that was a bit smaller and had a full kitchen as well.
They rented transportation from Midnight Madness transportation to move the wedding party and guests from the hotels to Castle Farms. We also took a nice short trip to Lake Michigan for some images on the white sand beach.
The Wedding ceremony was in the Queen’s Courtyard at 5pm and the Wedding reception began at 6:30pm in the King’s Great Hall. In between we captured images and the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.
The photo station / photobooth by Paul Retherford Photography was set up for guests to use starting at the cocktail hour, and all the way through the evening hours. It was a big hit once again!
Razor Entertainment supplied the music for the evening. They did a fine job keeping everyone moving.
The cake by Piece of Cake was yummy. It was cut immediately upon entering the Wedding ceremony in the King’s Great Hall.
The toasts came next with the maid of honor, best man, and father of the groom doing the prayer.
Dinner was served by Grey Gables catering in Charlevoix, Michigan.
The dancing began around 8:15pm and included a first dance, wedding party dance, mother/son dance, and father/daughter dance.
We took the opportunity to leave for 15 minutes to catch some evening/sunset images. It was well worth leaving the party for the images that we made.
The evening lasted until midnight with last call at 11:45.
Here are selection of beautiful images from their wedding day. If you would like to see the entire wedding photography collection from Castle Farms Queen’s Courtyard and King’s Great Hall wedding click here.
