Destination Wedding Mackinac Island

A wedding in a destination location at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island.  Everything is set, beautiful, and the count down begins.  The only unpredictable part of the equation is the weather.  Mission Point Resort Northern Michigan Mackinac Island Wedding

Brides tend to get sad or upset about rain on their Wedding day.  I, on the other hand, love the light and opportunity to capture unique Wedding images that are impossible on sunny days.

The rain begins the minute the bride starts her procession to the gazebo at Mission Point Resort.  You can see the black and purple clouds moving quickly toward us.

Then it hits…hard.  Downpour ensues and guests run for cover under the trees and in the gazebo.  The staff starts ushering people inside the cypress room.

Just as quick as it starts, it stops, leaving a pond of water in and around the gazebo.

Nothing a rain suit can’t handle.  Except, I forgot my rain pants. 🙂  So I’m wet, so what.  The images are amazing.

The carriage ride is fantastic.  They stay dry, I get wet.  Oh well. What matters most is the final product.

We arrive back at Mission Point Resort.  The rain is over and the party has begun.

Good food, music, and beverages with lots of smiling and camaraderie for the evening.
