Grand Hotel Engagement Photography

When I heard from the groom about photographing their surprise Engagement at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island I was excited too! What an honor to be part of such an emotional time in someone’s life. I begin walking through the scenarios so that I can make sure that I am prepared for any circumstance. The engagement happens just before the light rain starts to fall on the beautiful couple. You can see the crazy storms in the sky moving quickly toward us. If rain is lucky on your wedding day it must be lucky squared on your surprise engagement day!

The Grand Hotel is amazing in its own right. The historic significance and the grandiose feeling around everything make for incredible image possibilities.

She says “YES!”

Life is wonderful and the images show their love for each other. They couldn’t be happier and either can I!
