Angelee and Paul are MARRIED!!! What a beautiful couple to match the fantastic Wedding location at the Beachwalk Resort in Michigan City, Indiana.
The day was forecasted to be hot and humid. So, Angelee and Paul decided to sway from the traditional Wedding and have their reception first and then get married after their first/last dance. This allowed for the temperatures to drop about 10 degrees and for the sun to hide a bit too. It was comfortable on the beach at 7:30ish with family and bridal party images after the ceremony. The beach had cleared a bit prior to our arrival at the ceremony too. It just worked out perfect!
Angelee and her family and friends are very tall. I think this is my first bride ever that was taller than me! I found myself standing on my tip toes to get at her eye level.:-) She is beautiful and made a VERY pretty bride. Paul is a handsome guy too. He is a lucky man!
Paul is kind of a layed back guy that, I was told, didn’t like posed images. I ended up meeting the bride and groom the morning of their Wedding as I was checking out the location. I heard a, “you must be Paul.” It was Angelee and Paul heading out from Beachwalk. I am probably one of the easiest photographers to get along with, in my mind. I have never had a problem bringing out the grooms, or the brides, personality. I knew that Paul would warm up to me. It was a Paul to Paul connection.:-) To make this story short, there are a ton of images of Paul that could be covers of many magazines. He was quite the model and around his family and friends he was showing his true personality.
Angelee and Paul tried to make the Wedding as “Green” as they could without looking cheap. As Angelee put it, it was probably more money to do it this way. They did a fantastic job and I didn’t find myself having to avoid a lot of clutter during the day. She had a nice purple bouquet and there was white daisies lining the ceremony isle. Other than that, there were no other flowers. The tables were very clean and has a few decorations in the middle. They used block table numbers which Paul made and they are keeping for their future kids to use.
As you will see in the images, Angelee is beautiful in her dress and she matched their simple beach Wedding theme. As Angelee’s brothers said to me, Angelee could be a model.
Beachwalk Resort is a bunch of vacation rentals that are grouped right across from a boardwalk which leads to Lake Michigan and a beautiful spot in the world. The guests rented cabins for the weekend and the party was on. It is such a laid back community with transportation via golf carts and lots of active people out running, biking, and walking. I saw lots of dogs too. One nice lady showed me where to see a bunch of rare midwestern cactus which were blooming out large yellow blooms. Pretty awesome!
I can’t say enough about this location and the facilities that they have for destination Weddings. It is located close to Chicago, Illinois, Southwest Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and even Northwest Ohio. Check Beachwalk Resort out for your Wedding and give me a call for your Wedding Photography!

I had the opportunity to capture fabulous family photography images in Grandville, Michigan with the Klott Family. It was a nice mix of weather and I think the images came out perfect. Here are a couple images from the Family Photography Session and then a nice slideshow with more of the images.
