A few images of the Lake Superior sunset on the north end of Lake Superior near Lake Superior Provincial Park. These images were captured last weekend. A Thomas Fogarty Winery Wedding took my family out to California where we stayed at The Beach House in Half Moon Bay, California. The location is beautiful and I highly recommend this location.
We were offered an ocean front room at The Beach House since they were doing some painting and repairs on the exterior of the building.
The rooms/suites are really nicely decorated and they are very comfortable. There was plenty of room for my wife, baby daughter and me. There is a King bed in all of the rooms and a sleeper sofa. They also have a working fireplace, fridge, microwave, stove top, sink, and a nice bathroom with separate shower and bathtub with double sinks. The art was all from local artists and very unique.
The staff at the Beach House is very accommodating. Continental Breakfast is more of deluxe breakfast with fresh fruit, juice, coffee, homemade breads, rolls, bagels, and lots more. I loved their breakfasts and my wife was cutting out dairy and wheat for the baby and she found plenty to eat too!
The pool and hot tub are well kept and very comfortable even in the 70 degree weather. It is nice to sit and look out at the Pacific Ocean.
You can watch surfers riding the waves from your deck if you have an oceanside room too.
Even though The Beach House does not offer Weddings you can go next door to the Oceana Resort and Spa to have your Wedding ceremony and Wedding reception.
The Beach House is located right next to Sam’s Chowder House and close to the Oceana, within short walking distance, which is a beautiful Wedding location. If I was getting married at Oceana Resort and Spa I would consider staying at The Beach House. The location is definitely better at The Beach House and the rooms are fantastic too.
A huge thank you and congratulations goes out to Carolyn and Kevin. Their Wedding was splendid and I enjoyed my time with everyone. The images show their love for each other.
The day began for me around noon when I stopped by the Thousand Oaks Banquet Facility at the Grand Oaks to capture some detail images from the Wedding Reception.
The bride arrived first at Kuyper College Vos Chapel with her beautiful Wedding dress. The bridesmaids were all accompanying the bride. It was a beautiful group.
Both the bride and groom decided that they wanted to see each other prior to the ceremony to get all of the family images completed so that they could head right over to the Wedding reception immediately following. This is a decision that I never force on any of my brides and grooms but I do give them the option to schedule the day like this.
The day was beautiful so we did a mix of images in Vos Chapel at Kuyper College and outdoors. Luckily, we decided to get outdoor images completed beforehand since we had a 100% chance of rain after the ceremony. Yes, it didn’t rain it absolutely poured!
