Fishing on Lake Michigan Grand Haven, Michigan

This past week I spent in Grand Haven, Michigan at Chinook Pier aboard my brother’s boat, Catch-A-Bunch Fishing Charters. He runs Lake Michigan Salmon Fishing Charters out of the port city of Grand Haven, Michigan. His boat is a 31 foot Tiara Yacht. Catch-A-Bunch is sponsored by numerous Professional fishing companies and has all the latest fishing electronics, baits, and gear.

It was a wonderful week to be on the water. I ran some Charter Fishing trips and first mated on others. The weather was perfect and the fishing was good too. We averaged around 8 fish per trip. We caught a 16.5 pound Chinook salmon and a 15.5 pound Lake Trout in different trips.

If I lived closer to Grand Haven, Michigan I would fish more often with Catch-A-Bunch and mate on Chinook Pier. A fishing week in mid Summer really does restore the soul.:-)

Katie and Eric are from the Chicago, Illinois area and planned a destination Wedding in Northern Michigan along Lake Michigan. The Perry Hotel is a beautiful venue with outdoor locations for your Wedding Ceremony and Wedding Reception.

Petoskey is a boutique town in Northern Michigan along Lake Michigan and Little Traverse Bay.

The Vendors for the night include the Jelly Rolls Blues Band at http://www.jellyrollsbluesband.com who kept the night jamming away. The Wedding flowers were beautifully made by Natures Garden Flowers in Petoskey, Michigan. You can contact them at (231)347-1092. The Wedding planning was by LVL Weddings and Events from California. Congratulations Abigail and Jeremy! You guys ROCK. What a wonderful Wedding with family and close friends in an intimate location like the gazebo at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Michigan.

Planning a Wedding on Mackinac Island, Michigan?

The afternoon Wedding ceremony at the Gazebo at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island was beautifully placed inside the circle of flowers. The skies were clear and it was a fabulous day in Michigan. The bride was wearing a beautiful white wedding dress by Oleg Cassini.

She had her hair and makeup done right at Mission Point Resort at 7th Heaven Salon.

The bride and groom had their flowers completed by Weber’s Floral and Gift. The bride and groom took a 1.5 hour horse drawn carriage ride around Mackinac Island with Me following, and leading, on my bike. The Wedding was catered by Mission Point Resort on the outdoor patio near the bocce ball court. The bride and groom played crochet and bocce ball. There was a cocktail hour under the tent which was set up for the occasion. Bella e Dolce completed six custom cakes for the Mackinac Wedding tables. They were beautiful and delicious!
