Benton Harbor Wedding Photography, Southwest Michigan Wedding Photographer

The Wedding of Becky in Kevin was my July 5th wedding in Benton Harbor.  The wedding was held at a beautiful Catholic Church in Benton Harbor called St. John’s Catholic Church.  It was in a run down area of Benton Harbor but the church was very fabulous!  I would recommend this church to anyone who is looking for a nice church with multiple areas for photography and a cool Priest, Father William Jacobs, and a wonderful wedding coordinator, JuanitaGrover. 

The Church has a nice balcony, a large area behind the alter for images looking out, and areas along the sides for images too.  The Priest does not mind the photographer moving around and you are allowed to use flash.  The church was built in 1897 I believe.  Very pretty.  Another bonus is the flower garden adjacent to the church that is fenced in and accessible from the church.  Great addition!

The wedding party had a limo rented and we went to Tiscornia Park on Lake Michigan to do some nice beach images.   We had fun at the beach making some fantastic images!

The groom had four brothers, one of which was an identical twin.  They were all really cool and nice!

The reception was held at The Berrien Hills Golf Course in Benton Harbor.  The site was really nice as well and had a great reception room for smaller parties.  There were approximately 160 people there.  I would recommend this site for parties less than 150.   There is a nice balcony that overlooks part of the golf course and the staff was really nice too.

The flowers were by Crystal Springs. 

Rick Redding was the DJ from Spotlight Entertainment.  He is a very nice guy and does a fantastic and professional job.  I would highly recommend Rick for your events!  He kept the party going for the entire night, except for when the breaker blew for about 10 minutes, but that gave everyone a chance to rush the bar.  Great job Rick and hope to see you again!
