Mackinac Island, Michigan is one of those places that it is hard to beat for a Wedding location. There are so many possibilities on Mackinac Island, Northern Michigan for locations, themes, images, vendors, and more.
Mackinac Island is located in Lake Huron in Northern Michigan It is a short ferry trip ride from either Mackinaw City or St. Ignace to the harbor at Mackinac Island. From the harbor you can walk, ride a bike, or take a horse carriage anywhere on the island. The island is privately owned and state owned. There are lots of trails and points of interest to visit all over Mackinac Island. The paved loop around Mackinac Island is 8.2 miles long.
Rebecca and Danny love the outdoors, their dogs, their family, and having a party. They made that their center of attention at their Mission Point Resort Wedding at Tranquility Point.
Tranquility Point is the perfect overlook of Lake Huron and a nice private and quiet location on Mackinac Island. You can rent the suite that walks right out to the Tranquility Point location too!
Mission Point Resort is a dog friendly location and Rebecca and Danny took full advantage of this. They incorporated their dogs in the family images after the ceremony. During the ceremony they hired a dog sitter to watch the gang of dogs.
All the events took place right at Mission Point Resort. The Wedding reception was held at the Promenade Deck at Mission Point which also has sweeping views of Lake Huron.
The Wedding images started in the Mission Point Wedding suite with Rebecca. We captured images of Danny and his family and guys at Tranquility Point prior to the ceremony. Ceremony images followed by entire group images and family images. We walked around Mission Point Resort property to take full advantage of the location. We even made it back to catch the tail end of the cocktail hour and then moved into the Wedding reception.
Rebecca wore Sophia and Camilla Wedding gown. It was gorgeous on her! The flowers were all completed by family. Hair by a friend. Marie Steensma was the Wedding officiant.
The Elopement, Intimate Package at Mission Point Resort was perfect for this group of 30 people who wanted a low key celebration with family and friends. They partied the night away and have lots of gorgeous images to show.
