Mission Point Resort Family Photography

Mackinac Island is named from the Odawa Indian tribe years ago when they likened the island to a shape of a turtle.  In addition, Mackinac Island is the site of battles during the War of 1812.  Today, Mackinac Island is known as a historic, tourist destination location.  When you arrive to Mackinac Island have a photography session Mackinac Island Mission Point Resort Family Photography by Paul Retherford.

Mackinac Island is 8.2 miles along the outer state road.

Along the state highway you will find Mission Point Resort overlooking Lake Huron.

Mission Point Resort is a perfect location for family photography on the lawn.

This family was large, the kids were rambunctious, and everyone was ready to take on this group family session.

The majority of the session we work with the young kids to make sure we capture nice images with them.

Sometimes the hardest part is having the parents stay looking at the camera.  Parents want to help and discipline their kids.

With this is mind, I ask my parents to smile and ignore their kids until we absolutely need them. 🙂

Luckily for us, the boys love their football.  Grandpa and uncles are wonderful helping wrangle the little boys.

In the end, the images turn out wonderful.
