Mackinac Island Wedding The Inn at Stonecliffe
Jenna and Brendan’s Romantic Mackinac Island Wedding at the Inn at Stonecliffe Grotto and outdoor Reception tent was just perfect!
With their friends and family all in attendance, they had a gorgeous Mackinac Island day in the sun.
The wedding colors for the day were navy blue and petal pink. The theme was classic.
Jenna started out early in the morning with Vintage Glam on Market doing on location hair and makeup at The Inn at Stonecliffe.
Our time together started as she finished in the salon room at The Inn at Stonecliffe. The girls prepared in The Straits Suite which has a front and a back room with exposed plumbing.
The bride, bridesmaids, and mother all had embroidered Wedding day robes with their initials. They wanted a nice shot in them before changing into their Wedding dresses.
I took some time with Jenna’s Wedding dress which was made by Maggie Sottero, capturing front and backlit images. Such a beautiful dress that fit Jenna perfectly.
The ladies relaxed and I found the guys getting ready in Jenna and Brendan’s suite for the evening. Brendan was tying all of the groomsmen’s bow ties for them. Brendan knows his bow ties.
After capturing some great shots of the guys, I went back to the Bride’s room to photograph her getting the last of her dress on.
We photographed Jenna’s family images prior to the Wedding ceremony on the front lawn of The Inn at StoneCliffe.
The Wedding Ceremony was in the Woodland Grotto, which is a sunken wooded area with a fountain, that is very scenic and beautiful. The best part, in my mind, is the meandering aisle coming down to the Woodland Grotto. Watching brides walk with their father through the wooded area makes my hair stand up, and the Groom’s too.
Tom Marx officiated the ceremony with Jenna and Brendan writing their own vows. It was beautiful.
Even though it was REALLY hot outside, the Woodland Grotto was fairly cool and refreshing.
Following the Wedding Ceremony we signed the marriage license on a table up the path, and continued up to The Inn at Stonecliffe for a complete friend and family photograph with everyone.
We captured the family images quickly before catching their horse carriage ride to downtown and back with Gough Wedding Carriages.
Upon returning after the one hour tour, the Bride and Groom were introduced into the Wedding reception tent behind the The Inn at StoneCliffe by one of DJ Brevin’s associates.
The first dance was immediately after entering the tent, and then the cutting of the gorgeous cake by Tas T Creations.
The dance floor was packed all night long.
We snuck away for some sunset images at Sunset Rock close to the Inn at Stonecliffe.
The vendors all did a wonderful job at Jenna and Brendan’s Wedding.
